Banking on the massive success of its recently concluded phase of the MCU, Marvel kick-started its next phase on Disney’s new digital streaming service Disney Plus. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is the second mini-series in this latest phase of the MCU. So far Marvel fans have received it quite well, to say the least.
Unlike WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier stands out in terms of giving us a hint at what is expected in the next phase of the MCU. And it seems Marvel is going to take some bold decisions by introducing more characters from the comics. It is a smart move to keep fans hooked to the Marvel spectacle in the years to come.
This series features some stellar performances by the lead actors. Sam, played by Anthony Mackie, and Buckie, played by Sebastian Stan have done a remarkable job. Wyatt Russell who plays John Walker has also garnered much praise.
In this mini-series, one thing that stands out is the amount of time given to character building even though this series is just six episodes long.
The action sequences throughout the series are simply top-quality. Certainly enough to satisfy any hardcore MCU fan. Plus there are plenty of moments in the series that are already exploited by the Marvel meme army.
All in all, this is a very good story backed by some very serious performances.
So should you watch The Falcon and The Winter Soldier? If you are invested in the MCU then you simply cannot miss this.
