Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 Is It Worth Watching?
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 is abrupt and very predictable. Many would definitely say that it is not worth watching. I think comparing it to the original classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974 would definitely make the flaws in this one more obvious. But you really don’t need to refer back to the classic movie to tell what’s wrong with this one.
If you watch this movie in isolation, I mean without comparing it to the previous Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies, then it’s not a terrible movie at all. Many would agree with me if I say that this new Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 movie is still very entertaining for its genre.
But having said that many people genuinely believe that this movie could have been so much better. Even though this movie is shot very beautifully, the classic tension associated with good slasher movies is clearly missing in this one.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 Movie Good or Bad?
If you look at the production quality and the overall entertainment factor then Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 is not that bad. The gore and slashing element in the movie also looks really disturbing which is good for a movie in this genre. Another noticeable thing about this movie is that it features some really good cinematography. As a result, the visuals are very engaging throughout the runtime.
I think the only disappointing thing about this movie is its screenplay. The storyline is plainly predictable. This is one reason the movie lacks the signature tension associated with all Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies.
Another obvious flaw in this movie is a lack of proper character building. As a result, the audience can confidently tell which character is going to get slashed.
Overall the expectations for this movie were very high, but unfortunately, the movie is clearly disappointing. Despite all its obvious flaws, I won’t call this movie bad. Because with all the shortcomings it is still a very entertaining movie.
Is Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 Worth Watching?
Well, it’s nothing like the classic one that’s for sure. But if you still want to enjoy some gory slashing then Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 is definitely worth watching.
