The actual date-night brief
The safest date-night lists confuse subject with function. A movie does not need proposals, misunderstandings and a final airport sprint to work for two people. It needs a tone both viewers can enter, enough momentum to prevent second-screen drift and something worth discussing when the credits arrive.
These five choices cover different relationship temperatures. Establish whether the evening needs warmth, flirtation, danger, combat or proof that another couple is making far worse decisions than yours.
