Ambulance Is It Worth Watching?
A typical Michael Bay movie, Ambulance is an action thriller that disappoints despite featuring a good lead cast. So is it worth watching? If you have nothing else to watch then sure you can enjoy this car-smashing rollercoaster of a film.
The strong duo of Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul Mateen II is the only reason this movie rates above average. It is truly painful to see their brilliant acting go to waste in this absolutely crazy screenplay.
This movie seems to be more focused on creating more opportunities for car smashing stunts rather than good storytelling. Although seemingly simple, the storyline is unrealistic and unnecessarily long.
Michael Bay’s fixation on creating cheap thrills and mindless action makes Ambulance totally less interesting. Keep the plot holes aside, the number of jerky shots in the movie is enough of an indication to tell the quality of this movie.
If you’re a person who likes action and stunts for no reason, then you might enjoy this movie. But if you’re someone who is looking for a proper cinematic experience then this movie is absolutely the opposite of that.
Is Ambulance a Good Movie?
Action fans might find it interesting but trust me, Ambulance is not a good movie. On the contrary, this is an average movie at best and a really bad movie most of the runtime. Some good acting by Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul Mateen II only makes it barely watchable.
The only interesting thing in the whole movie is the helicopter stunt under the bridge. Other than that there is nothing significant in the movie to talk about.
Is Ambulance Worth Watching?
Not a good movie by any means, you can surely skip Ambulance. But if you are looking for some mindless action then you might find it interesting. Ambulance is clearly your typical Michael Bay movie.
